Trump Embarrasses Himself Big Time With Whiny Sunday Twitter Rant About Fake News

On Sunday afternoon, the president yet again took to Twitter with a message about the supposedly dastardly mainstream media, which he’s termed the “enemy of the American people” in the past.
This time around, he whined about the media supposedly not running enough positive stories about his administration.
He wrote:
‘So many positive things going on for the U.S.A. and the Fake News Media just doesn’t want to go there. Same negative stories over and over again! No wonder the People no longer trust the media, whose approval ratings are correctly at their lowest levels in history!’
There’s not really any way to get around the fact that, in this situation, it’s the president who is exhibiting childish behavior. The media reporting on that childish behavior doesn’t make the media itself out of line. It’s the president who remains out of line, with the literal commander-in-chief of the United States passing the time by whining on social media about “fake news.”
Although he often leaves his arguments open-ended, this time, he offered an example of the positive stories about the U.S. that the media is supposedly ignoring, noting the raises that many Americans have been given in the wake of the corporate profits boosting tax bill he signed into law late last year.

What he didn’t note is the fact that in conjunction to those one-time raises, there have been numerous layoffs across American industry, with analysts projecting that most of the savings accumulated by corporations in the wake of the tax law will go to shareholders and the like.
After his whining about the media, Trump posted an endorsement of a U.S. Senate candidate in Ohio and a message announcing he’d offered condolences to Ohio Governor John Kasich on the occasion of the shooting of two police officers in his state.
